Use of Matomo (web analysis)

For statistical purposes and to improve the offer, we record page views, navigation paths and the content of search queries in accordance with the legal basis of legitimate interest Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e) GDPR in conjunction with ThürHG § 11.

The open source software Matomo, which is hosted on secure servers of the University of Jena, is used for web analysis. The tracking cookie used makes it possible to analyze your behavior on the websites of the marketplace. It is therefore possible to track which subpages you have viewed, for how long and, if applicable, what other actions you have performed on the pages. The IP addresses are anonymized (IP masking) so that they cannot be assigned to individual users.

Use of e-mails and contact forms

We only collect personal data when you contact us, e.g. when using emails or contact forms, on the legal basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. When you send us a message, we process your email address, the actual content of the message and the metadata specified by the server, such as the time the message was sent. In addition to emails, the ticket system Jira ServiceDesk, which is hosted on the servers of the University of Jena, is used for this purpose.

The Digital University Office acts as the recipient of the data. If necessary, your data received via messages will be forwarded to other institutions of the University of Jena in order to process your request. The personal data concerning you from messages will be stored until the purpose of the data processing no longer applies or after the expiry of statutory or official retention obligations.


Provision of personal data

We process personal data with regard to the provision of information for offers and services in the portal in order to provide contact options and contact persons for individual offers, on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e) GDPR. The Digital University Office processes this data. The data will be published as long as consent is given. If you object, this data will be removed.

 

Rights of the data subjects

According to the GDPR, you have the following rights under the conditions specified in the law: right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), right to object (Art. 21 GDPR).
