Description

The online course comprises short, interactive self-study units on the topics of "Successfully studying" and "Studying with digital tools". The self-learning course can help students, especially first-year students, to master the challenges of everyday study life. With a mixture of information, interactive elements and reflection tasks, it conveys everything that is important for successful studies.

The individual subject areas can be worked through at your own pace and according to your own interests. Each self-study unit within a subject area can be completed in just a few minutes.

Topics

6 course units on the topics:

  • Study organization (semester and study planning, setting goals and planning tasks, e.g. with SMART goals and the KanBan technique, data organization)
  • Learning to learn (Learning techniques e.g. active remembering, loci method, effective group collaboration)
  • Scientific work (time planning and topic identification, target-oriented research, handling research data, writing tips)
  • Present (presentation design, data visualization and presentation, competent presentation)
  • Balancing your studies (exercise, recreation, leisure activities)
  • Offers of help (support with studies, digital tools, personal matters, financial issues)
