Strategic further development of teaching

All university members interested in good teaching are cordially invited to participate in the Academy's calls for applications, events and committee work.

"Strengthening good teaching together" is the motto and goal of the Academy for Teaching Development (ALe). Members of all status groups and faculties find in the ALe

• Exchange on all aspects of teaching
• Suggestions and funding opportunities for good teaching
• Diversity of perspectives and interdisciplinary networking to strengthen teaching

The ALe is made up of the expert committee and the administrative office. The expert committee represents the broad spectrum of subjects at the university as well as all status groups involved in teaching. In addition to the current Vice President for Studies and Teaching, it includes representatives from the faculties. Advisory functions are performed by the Teaching and Learning Service Center and the Digital University Office.

• Award of the annual teaching prize of the University of Jena
• Organization and implementation of the annual DIES Legendi - Teaching Day
• Advice on external tenders
• Participation in the teaching strategy process and development of guidelines (e.g. Principles of good (digital) teaching)
