Access to the service
The Writing Center asks all students to register in advance by sending an email to: schreibtutoren@uni-jena.de. The Writing Center will contact you by e-mail to arrange a suitable individual appointment.

Description
The writing consultations are:
- Peer tutor based - It is led by tutors who are also students and thus takes place as an exchange at eye level.
- non-directive - it is based on a dialog and does not offer frontal teaching. Writing is an individual process, and the same applies to the writing center's consultation hours.
- designed for the writing process - The tutors advise on writing: the comprehensible structure and argumentation of a paper, the methodical approach, work and time structuring, and much more.
The advice is not subject-specific. The tutors can work with you to determine whether theses are comprehensibly presented and sufficiently substantiated, but cannot make any statements about their professional relevance or correctness.
This consultation is also possible via Zoom.
