Description

Digital examinations are accompanied by special requirements: For example, there are different examination formats and forms of supervision, there are obligations to inform students, a dedicated examination server for legally compliant implementation and archiving of digital examinations, and many other aspects that need to be taken into account.

The Legal Office will be happy to advise you on examination law issues during the planning and implementation of digital examinations at the University of Jena.

Topics

We would be happy to discuss the following topics and individual concerns with you:

  • What is a digital exam? When is a digital examination an independent form of examination and when is only the examination procedure digital?
  • How can faults be avoided when carrying out digital tests? What should be done if technical faults occur during the test? What are the legal consequences of technical faults?
  • How can attempts to deceive be prevented, detected and sanctioned?

Good to know

The University of Jena offers a dedicated exam server for e-exams on. The system is based on the Moodle system used in teaching, but has been adapted for the examination context.
