Description

Reference management programs help you to efficiently collect, organize and structure bibliographic information on books, journal articles and other media. They provide an overview even for large collections of literature and make academic work easier by allowing citations and references to be inserted directly into texts and automatically formatted in numerous citation styles, as well as creating bibliographies. They also offer functions for evaluating electronic full texts and enable the uncomplicated transfer of verbatim citations.

The library supports its users with training and advice, in particular on CitaviEndNote and Zotero. Citavi and EndNote are available free of charge to all Thuringian universities via a state-wide license. Zotero also offers a wide range of functions as an open source version. The choice of the right program depends primarily on system compatibility and the desired functionalities.
